Scrapbook Page of the Week: You Really Shine by Ingvild at My Paper Art

I'm in a "die cut place" right now where the unusual shapes and elements on pages are really drawing me in. I love this page. The circle is unusual and it almost looks like items arranged on a silver platter. The way Ingvild pulled it all together, the layout has a vintage, soft feel. I love the black and white photo and the deer... I feel a sort of innocence from the page without being able to read the journaling. Beautiful.
Runner Up: Robot Dance by Amanda featured on Randomly Speaking

OK, this page flat out ROCKS! I love the colors, the feel, the robot... all of it. My favorite part is the vellum made to look like a film strip. I wonder if she did that in the BIA? Anyway, this is apparently part of a kit that I must NOW HAVE. Blurfing is not good for the budget :D There are several other great layouts using the kit on the Randomly Speaking post, so hurry over there so that we can call be broke together!
Mini-Book of the Week: Mini Albums by Cindy at An Altered State of Mind

You'll have to click on over to see the individual pages -- and it's worth it -- they are all this good! It's a beautiful album!
Same post -- check this rock climbing book out:

Pun intended: This ROCKS! This is one of those moments where I want to take the kids to a rock climbing wall just so I can take the pictures and copy this idea! LOVE IT!
Runner Up: Weekend Creative by Ali at Ali Edwards Blog

EVERYONE knows Ali Edwards. She's the Queen of the Scrapbookers. Lord only knows how many layouts of hers are ripped out of magazines and littering the desk in my craft area. This book is a pretty good indication of why Ali is famous. I love the idea of altered board books as mini-books for children. They hold up to play, everyone likes to read about themselves, and they are fun to share. Ali gives templates and tips for how to make this album using digital templates (for Photoshop), online (using Shutterfly), and also by hand. Awesome :D
Now, onto the Best of the Blogosphere Scrapbooking lists. Remember these lovely little boxes don't show up in Google Reader, so if you can't see them, click on over to my site and they will magically appear. (When you see the boxes, there is a small "read more" in the bottom, right hand corner... click it and you can see the list with pictures as a web page!)
