Card of the Week & Best of the Blogosphere: August 2 - 8, 2008
Card of the Week: Hello by Carla at Carla's Blog

There were a lot of beautiful cards this week, but Carla's "hello" card is so bright and sunny it just made me smile. It's the kind of card that conveys a smile when you get it in the mail. I love the use of the stickers with the flowers, buttons and ribbon. The background paper is mimicked by the embellishments. Lots of detail, but not overwhelmingly busy. So pretty :D
Runner Up: Vintage Children's Book Card by Steph at Ingenious Inkling

This adorable card is part of a reclaimed children's book turned card. It's such a clever idea that I'm hitting myself for giving away all our old baby books. I love this idea! Truly brilliant!

Project of the Week: Altered Milk Cartons by Edleen at Javascrapper

Wouldn't you just be a rock star mom if this was stuffed in your child's lunch box on the first day of school?! I just love this idea -- so clever and cute. I could make dozens!
Runner Up: Card Purse by Taylor at Taylored Expressions
You'll have to hop on over to Taylor's blog to see the adorable cards this tote is stuffed with! I just think this is such a nice little happy gift for a hostess or small birthday present. Really pretty and special.
