Card of the Week and Best of the Blogosphere: June 28th - July 4th

Happy Independence Day!!!!

Card of the Week: Adorable Lambs by Debbie at Thinking Inking

(No picture -- I was asked by Spellbinders to not include photos from the pre-CHA sneak peek.  Please link over to Debbie's AWESOME blog to see this great card).

I know -- everything Debbie does is awesome, but this just is AWESOME!  (Quoting Po from Kung Fu Panda, "There is no charge for awesomeness.")  I am so drooling over this new Nestability set and it's all Debbie's fault.  I love this cute card and how the sweet baby theme just shines on through.

Runner Up:  Flower Card by Amy at Pickled Paper Designs

The ribbon stems and the covered chipboard made this card so sweet!  I love the detail of the patterned paper peeking out from behind the sentiment.

Shout Outs:

Summer Time Fun by Julie at Paper Pleasing Ideas

JRB peek tube and surf

The surfers move!!!!!  Ha! Ha! Ha!

Pull Out Coffee Card by Julie at Out to Impress

I think this card is just beautiful.  I love the almost coffee stained color of the cardstock and the pull out sentiment with the coffee colored ribbons. Lovely.

***

Antique Scrolls by Kim at Paper in the Works

I love blue and green and brown together. This card is so pretty!

Friends Forever Tag by Jen at I{heart}2stamp

friendsforevertag.jpg

I haven't seen anyone really make tags in a while, this tag will make you want to break out your punches and get busy.

Special Double Shout Out:

Carole, from Mother's Little Helper, and Michelle, from Paper Cuts, had a challenge - use Winobella (my new favorite thanks to Adela Rossol) and this paper.  The competition was fierce and I couldn't pick a favorite -- I love these both!!!

Project of the Week:  CD Case Centerpiece by Bobbi Jo at It Works for Me

OK, irony here is that Bobbi-Jo got the idea from another featured artist (Paper Jewels) on this site for this project, but I love how she ran with it!  I am going to have to make this.  I am.

Runner Up:  4th of July Popcorn Box by Adela at Creations by AR

This wins the most festive thing ever prize!  Details matter -- check out the star punch used for the holes for the handles!

Shout Outs:

Independence Day T-Shirts by Julie at Stampin With Julie

This is taking stamping exactly where it needs to go!  This ROCK!

***

Calendar by Liz at Paislee Press

You'll have to click over to see all the months, but I think this is precious.  You could easily size this to fit in a CD case and then have one of those flip top calendars.  I'll have to remember this at Christmas -- I think calendars make wonderful gifts.

***

Vivian's Faux Cookbook by Adela at Creations by AR

This is hilarious -- it's full of take out menus.  Made me laugh -- it's a gift for a bridal shower!

Journals, Journals and Sets! Oh My!  Even more shout outs!

Gift Notes and a Tile by

Me, My Stamps and I

Lovely, quick gift idea and great presentation.

Bold Carnations Gift Set by Taylor at Taylored Expressions

Isn't this FAB!  I love how the card matches and it's really just a chipboard book, patterned paper and one stamp set!  (OK, an alphabet stamp set too.... don't nit pick.)

****

Busy Chick Journal by Jami at More is More

fsff1-notebook-challenge-july-08-jami-custom.jpg

This is the one stamp set that I could never part with after SU retired it.  I think this is just about the cutest thing ever.  Love the matching chicken scratch pen!

Double Pocket Bag with Cards by Yvonne at Campbell Creations

double-pocket-bag.jpg

Simple cards, lovely bag made with just a few pieces.  A gift idea that looks like hours and probably was done faster than you could drive to the local Hallmark.

OK, I know it was a really long list of Shout Outs, but honestly, there was so much great stuff out there this week.  You will definitely want to read the BOB list too.  Remember to hit the "read more" button at the bottom of the page to see the BOB list as a web page, complete with pictures.

If you would like me to read your blog, or if there is someone GREAT out there and I'm missing her/him, leave me a comment on this post and I promise to swoop on over and check them out.

Have a safe and happy holiday!

Such great projects this week (well, every week - but some on here I especially love!!). I don't always find time to comment, but just wanted to tell you how much I love your blog - I don't always find to blog hop as much as I'd like either, but yours is one of the first I always visit in Reader, since it's such a fantastic summary of what's happening in the blog world!
